But when Julien becomes trapped in an elevator, their perfect crime begins to unravel, setting off a tense night of chance encounters, mistaken identities, and fatal consequences across Paris. Louis Malle’s striking feature debut is a masterful film noir, elevated by a legendary improvised jazz score by Miles Davis.
