Publishing & Translation Programs

The Book Department of Villa Albertine works with the Albertine Foundation, the Institut français, and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to promote French and Francophone literature and encourage English translations of French books in all categories (fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, comics, and poetry). To this end, it oversees and coordinates two grant programs: Albertine Translation and Acquisition of Rights. Read more below about the various grant programs available for translators.
