“Seuls en Scène” Princeton French Theater Festival

Seuls en Scène brings celebrated French actors and directors, as well as promising early-career artists, to Princeton University and the local community to present their work, introducing American audiences to dynamic and engaging French productions.

For three weeks, the 12th edition of Seuls en Scène, the French theater festival of Princeton University will present in-person performances of recent works by renowned French and francophone artists including Fanny de Chaillé, Lionel Lingelser, Louis Arène, David Lescot and Ludmilla Dabo, among others, as well as Penda Diouf, Marine Bachelot Nguyen, and Karima El Kharraze in their spoken word performance “Soeurs”.

The 2023 edition of the festival is in collaboration with the 52nd Edition of Festival d’Automne in Paris.

The projects Les possédés d’Illfurth by Munstrum Théâtre – Lionel Lingelser and  Soeurs by Panda Diouf, Marine Bachelot Nguyen and Karima El Kharraze received support from FACE Contemporary Theater, a program of Villa Albertine and FACE Foundation.

The translation from French to English of Soeurs is by Jasmine Claude-Narcisse, PhD; it received the support from the Contxto Network, a program of ArtCena.
