The Centre national de la danse and the Cité internationale des arts invite choreographers of all nationalities, living and working outside France, to apply for a three-month artistic residency in Paris and Pantin.
Residency periods:
– January–March 2026
– March–May 2026
Selected artists will benefit from dedicated artistic support and mentorship throughout the residency. The programme also includes international transportation (visa, travel insurance, and flights), a monthly living allowance of 1,000€, and a production grant of 1,500€.
Eligibility:
– Reside outside of France
– Be at least 25 years old
– Have at least three years of professional artistic activity
– Have completed at least one choreographic project
Required application materials:
– Completed online application form
– Detailed resume
– Project proposal for the residency
– Portfolio with photos and documentation of previous work
Application deadline: July 1st, 2025

The CCN Nantes offers an annual program called “Accueil Studio”, dedicated to supporting innovative choreographers and dance companies.
This initiative provides residency opportunities, enabling artists to develop their projects not only at CCN Nantes but also in collaboration with a network of creative spaces across the region. Throughout the residency, artists have the chance to present works-in-progress, inviting the public to experience and engage with the creative process.

The Cité internationale des arts and the Institut français are launching the 2026 edition of their joint residency program, offering a unique opportunity for artists and cultural professionals from around the world.
Who can apply?
This program is open to artists and cultural professionals who have lived outside France for at least five years and wish to develop a research or creative project in Paris. Residencies last three, six, or nine months, and will take place between April 2026 and April 2027.
What does the program offer?
The laureates will have the chance to work on their projects in the heart of Paris, at the Cité internationale des arts. The program covers all artistic disciplines, including:
- Street arts, circus, puppetry
- Dance, performance art
- Theatre
- And more
How does it work?
Applicants must be supported by one or more associated partners (such as a French cultural network abroad or a cultural organization) who will assist with the application process and cover international travel and residency allowance.
Eligibility criteria:
- Be an artist or cultural professional in one of the eligible disciplines
- Be engaged in a professional artistic or cultural practice
- Have lived outside France for at least five years
- Be available for the entire residency period
- Be able to manage their residency independently
- Speak French and/or English
