For its ninth edition, Danse Élargie continues to explore all forms of movement, both on stage and in public spaces. Created in 2010 by Boris Charmatz, Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota, and the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès, the competition opens the stage of the Théâtre de la Ville–Sarah Bernhardt and the Place du Châtelet to creators from all disciplines.
This edition is organized in collaboration with the Cndc d’Angers, La Comédie de Valence, and the Ballet de Lorraine.
Who can apply?
The competition is open to artists of all nationalities, with no age limit, from all artistic backgrounds (dance, theatre, music, visual arts, architecture, design, etc.). Projects must involve at least 3 performers and last no more than 10 minutes. This event will take place on June 6 and 7, 2026, on the main stage of the Théâtre de la Ville–Sarah Bernhardt in Paris and at Place du Châtelet (rehearsals on June 4 and 5, 2026).
What does the program offer?
Three prizes will be awarded:
- 1st Prize: €13,000
- 2nd Prize: €8,000
- 3rd Prize: €5,000
Each finalist also receives a €2,000 grant to support travel and production costs.
How does it work?
Applications are reviewed by a selection committee composed of partner institutions.
Between 15 and 20 finalists will be chosen to perform on June 6 and 7, 2026.

Open Call – Spring 2026
The Fondation Fiminco expands its mission with La Fabrique des Arts, a multidisciplinary residency open to French and international artists and craftspeople. Located in Romainville (Greater Paris), the Foundation offers a unique creative ecosystem bringing together artists, galleries, and cultural partners across 50,000 m² dedicated to contemporary creation.
Who can apply?
The open call is addressed to French and international artists and craftspeople working in the fields of visual arts, crafts, dance, music, design, cinema, literature, research, writing, or curating, with no age limit.
What does the residency offer?
• A private studio apartment and shared living spaces
• Access to fully equipped workshops (ceramics, 3D printing, screen printing, engraving, textiles, photography, etc.)
• A production grant (from €1,250 to €5,000 depending on the residency length)
• Professional support and networking opportunities with Paris-based institutions
• Travel reimbursement (up to €300 within Europe / €800 outside Europe)
• Optional French language courses for international residents
Eligibility criteria:
• Be an individual artist or researcher in one of the eligible disciplines
• Be available for the entire duration of the selected residency
• Submit a complete application in French or English

The Centre national de la danse and the Cité internationale des arts invite choreographers of all nationalities, living and working outside France, to apply for a three-month artistic residency in Paris and Pantin.
Residency periods:
– January–March 2026
– March–May 2026
Selected artists will benefit from dedicated artistic support and mentorship throughout the residency. The programme also includes international transportation (visa, travel insurance, and flights), a monthly living allowance of 1,000€, and a production grant of 1,500€.
Eligibility:
– Reside outside of France
– Be at least 25 years old
– Have at least three years of professional artistic activity
– Have completed at least one choreographic project
Required application materials:
– Completed online application form
– Detailed resume
– Project proposal for the residency
– Portfolio with photos and documentation of previous work

The CCN Nantes offers an annual program called “Accueil Studio”, dedicated to supporting innovative choreographers and dance companies.
This initiative provides residency opportunities, enabling artists to develop their projects not only at CCN Nantes but also in collaboration with a network of creative spaces across the region. Throughout the residency, artists have the chance to present works-in-progress, inviting the public to experience and engage with the creative process.

The Cité internationale des arts and the Institut français are launching the 2026 edition of their joint residency program, offering a unique opportunity for artists and cultural professionals from around the world.
Who can apply?
This program is open to artists and cultural professionals who have lived outside France for at least five years and wish to develop a research or creative project in Paris. Residencies last three, six, or nine months, and will take place between April 2026 and April 2027.
What does the program offer?
The laureates will have the chance to work on their projects in the heart of Paris, at the Cité internationale des arts. The program covers all artistic disciplines, including:
- Street arts, circus, puppetry
- Dance, performance art
- Theatre
- And more
How does it work?
Applicants must be supported by one or more associated partners (such as a French cultural network abroad or a cultural organization) who will assist with the application process and cover international travel and residency allowance.
Eligibility criteria:
- Be an artist or cultural professional in one of the eligible disciplines
- Be engaged in a professional artistic or cultural practice
- Have lived outside France for at least five years
- Be available for the entire residency period
- Be able to manage their residency independently
- Speak French and/or English
