Annie Awards 2022: French Nominees
The Annie Awards—the equivalent of the Oscars dedicated to animation—announced their nominations for the 2022 edition, and French works brought in more than 20 nominations!
This year, French animation will be represented by two feature films, one series, and seven short films at the Annie Awards. Two works in particular stand out: altogether, Flee (which was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film) and Arcane (an animated series resulting from the collaboration between French animation studio Fortiche and major video game company Riot Games) have been nominated in 13 categories! Mum is pouring rain was also nominated for the Best Animated Short Film Academy Award.
