As part of the 2022 celebration of Molière 400 in Kansas City, acclaimed actor Jérôme Pouly of the Comédie Française who played Molière more than 1000 times is coming to perform the world premiere of “M de Molière,” a play he wrote for KC Molière 400 in 2022 in partnership with the Alliance Française de Kansas City.
The actor will tackle some of Molière’s favorite themes starting with “M,” like Machinations, Misery, Marriage, Medical Matters, Morality, Music, and more.

Following two years at the Cours Florent and one year at the École nationale des arts et techniques du spectacle, Jérôme Pouly trained at the Conservatoire national d’art dramatique before joining the Comédie-Française in June 1998. He made his debut within the Troupe as Lubin in Molière’s Georges Dandin under the direction of Catherine Hiegel. Another of his Conservatoire teachers, Muriel Mayette-Holtz, directed him in Feydeau’s Chat en poche the same season. He was appointed the 510th sociétaire on January 1, 2004.
