The French Theater Project brings the play Le Porteur d’Histoire to Boston. The story opens with the protagonist, Martin Martin, discovering a handwritten notebook, while burying his father in the Ardennes, which leads him on a dizzying quest across history and continents.

Fifteen years later, in the heart of the Algerian desert, a mother and daughter disappear mysteriously. They have been drawn by the tale of a stranger, searching for a heap of books marked with a strange chalice and a colossal treasure accumulated through the ages by a legendary secret society.

Le Porteur d’Histoire is a creation by Alexis Michalik, a multi-Molière Award-winning French playwright, director, and actor active on the contemporary French theater scene.

Performed in French with English supertitles, suitable for ages 10+.
