Since its launch in 2017, Animation Is Film has established itself as one of the leading animation film festivals in the United States, bringing the best of international animation to Los Angeles. The festival celebrates bold, innovative storytelling from around the world, with a program spanning feature films, shorts, student work, and special screenings.
The 2026 edition will take place in Los Angeles from October 16 through October 19, showcasing a selection of some of the most exciting new animated films from across the globe. Among this year’s lineup is a strong selection of French productions and co-productions, spanning both feature films and short films.
