Opera for Peace Academy – Masterclass with Kamal Khan
Conducted by Maestro Kamal Khan, Opera for Peace Artistic & Musical Director, conductor, and vocal coach, this session will approach vocal and musical interpretation from the conductor’s perspective. Working one-on-one with each singer, Mr. Khan will address phrasing, tempo, diction, and coordination with the pianist, guiding participants in how to shape their performance within the full musical structure.
Auditors will experience the dynamic between singer and conductor, observing how musical precision supports expressive delivery. The audience will attend the masterclass in an observational capacity, witnessing the instructor’s direct work with the selected OFP artists on their arias. In the final 30 minutes of each session, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a brief Q&A with the instructor.
