French Film @Rhode Island International Film Festival

The Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) is an established institution drawing film submissions from over 100 countries, celebrating diverse global storytelling. With numerous Oscar-qualifying films, the festival provides a prestigious platform for international filmmakers since the past 30 years.
This year edition will feature a French shortfilm, 7h53, by filmmaker Pénélope Rose during its opening night.
The audience will follow the story of Marcus and Elisa, a couple who lost their little girl Coco, and are still deeply suffering from her loss. However, one night, Marcus returns to see Elisa, from whom he has been separated for two years, accompanied by… Coco! The reunion is animalistic. Many questions appear around Coco’s return and how the couple could keep her with them forever.
