The purpose of this mapping is to gather information on the best American educational programs in the field of animated films.
Villa Albertine, in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States, has worked to identify the main schools in animation film in the United States.
The purpose of this mapping is to gather as much information as possible on the best American educational programs in the field of animated films, in order to guide students who wish to come and study in the United States. Most of the listed schools belong to the top 20 schools in the 2020 ranking of America’s best animation schools, compiled by the Animation Career Review site. This list is supplemented by programs, which are among the most reputable according to other rankings. Finally, the document also indicates around ten establishments that offer online training (some are only online, the majority offer a course on campus or online).
