Villa Albertine San Francisco  Offers Family Fun at the First Ever Ode to Joy Film Festival   

Villa Albertine San Francisco is delighted to take part in the European Union Office of San Francisco’s inaugural “Ode to Joy” European CineFest, a new initiative celebrating the richness of European cinema. The festival showcases the continent’s cultural heritage, diversity, and bold creative voices—highlighting the shared values that connect us across borders. 

This year, Villa Albertine SF is proud to present The Chorus (Les Choristes, 2004), a heartwarming musical drama inspired by the real-life story behind The Little Singers of Paris. 

When Clément Mathieu, a kind-hearted musician, begins teaching at a strict boarding school for troubled boys in 1949, he brings more than rules—he brings hope through music. With warmth, humor, and a touch of mischief, he forms a choir that transforms the students’ lives, proving that art and compassion can change even the hardest of hearts.
