“Photomode: Out there in games,” an exhibition of photographs taken within video game universes created by Ubisoft studios, opens in New York on November 17.
Photomode: Out there in games is an exhibition of photographs taken within video game universes created by Ubisoft studios. What do these virtual worlds say about our reality? What is our relationship with them and what emotions do they provoke in us? This is what the exhibition aims to question, by immersing the public in an intense and abundant dive into virtual worlds, beyond our reality but nevertheless real.
On the first day of the exhibition, an in-depth discussion on in-game photography seen through different artists’ eyes will be hosted. Filmmakers, photographers, digital, and immersive artists will discuss their work, constraints, and the opportunities they seek in this new photographic medium.
