Please join us for a special screening of the 1970 political thriller “The Confession” directed by Constantin Costa-Gavras with Yves Montand and Simone Signoret on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 5pm at the Wende Museum in Culver City. Reception will precede the screening starting at 4pm in the garden of the museum.
The Confession, directed by the master of the genre Costa-Gavras, tells the harrowing true story of the Czechoslovak communist and deputy foreign minister Artur London, a defendant in the famous Slánský purge trial in the early 1950s
The event is organized and supported by: Wende Museum, ELMA foundation, The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles, Consulate General of Greece in Los Angeles, Consulat Général de France à Los Angeles, Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles and the Villa Albertine.
The screening will be preceded by a reception in the museum garden starting at 4 p.m.
