Screening of Dance Films at Invisible Dog Art Center

Come and join us to celebrate Thierry Thieû Niang’s FUSED residency at Invisible Dog Center with the screening of Une Jeune fille de 90 ans and two short dance films: Nioun Rec by Amala Dianor and O Samba do Crioulo Doigo: Ruler and Compass by Calixto Neto.

You are welcomed at Invisible Dog Center for a screening of Une jeune fille de 90 ans (A Young Girl in her Nineties) by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and Yann Coridian with French choreographer Thierry Thieû Niang. In the film, a 92 year old woman suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, falls in love with her dance teacher, Thierry. 

The evening will open with two short dance films (Nioun Rec by Amala Dianor and O Samba by Calixto Neto) and conclude with a Q&A with Thierry Thieû Niang, who is in a 6-week residency at Invisible Dog.

During his FUSED residency Thierry Thieû Niang will develop the interactive piece Our First Time with participants from the LGBTQA+ community in Summer 2022 at Invisible Dog Art Center, Brooklyn, NY.
