Don’t miss this Family Matinee featuring the wondrous films of Jean Painlevé!

From 1927 to 1928, Jean Painlevé made his first three films aimed at the general public. Shown in ‘ciné-clubs’ and avant-garde movie theaters of Paris, these films were written and edited to entertain as well as educate.

Program includes: “The Sea Horse,” “Sea Urchins,” “The Love Life Of The Octopus,” “Acera or the Witches’ Dance,” “The Vampire,” “The Octopus” and “Liquid Crystals” 

Part of ‘This Is Not A Fiction’, a documentary and non-fiction film festival showcasing 43 films and 11 short films with over 20 filmmakers and subjects for in-person, a special anniversary panel and six premieres.
