Festival

Bannière de l'édition 2022 du Festival International du Film de Palm Springs

January 6-17, 2022

[CANCELED] After the 2021 edition was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Palm Springs International Film Festival is back! It will take place from January 6-17, featuring no less than 7 French films and more than 30 French coproductions!

The Palm Springs International Film Society has announced:
“Based on the current rise of COVID cases… the Film Festival will not take place this year from January 7-17…We strongly believe in the shared experience of watching films in theaters and will not be mounting a virtual alternative.”

Every year in January since 1989, this festival champions American and international independent films. Historically, most of Best International Feature Film Academy Award winners have been featured in the Palm Springs Film Festival. This year, it will welcome the film which has been chosen to represent France for this award: TITANE, by Julia Ducournau.

Six French productions will also be part of the Palm Springs Film Festival selection:

ANAIS IN LOVE, by Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet

HAPPENING, by Audrey Diwan

HAUTE COUTURE, by Sylvie Ohayon

Petite Maman, by Céline Sciamma

SECRET NAME, by Aurélia Georges

THE CAVIA CONNECTION, by Benoit Bringer

This edition’s program will also include more than 30 French coproductions and French-speaking films, such as THE CROSSING by Florence Miailhe, MEMORIA by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, FLEE by Jonas Poher Rasmussen, A HERO by Asghar Farhad, and THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD by Joachim Trier.
