Thus begins Laetitia Dosch‘s somewhat absurdist drama, but what begins as an almost silly comic premise evolves into a passionate cri de cœur for both animal and women’s rights. Presented in the “Un Certain Regard” section at Cannes Film Festival.

First-time director Agathe Riedinger expands upon her short film Waiting for Jupiter in this cautionary tale of a teenage girl obsessed with fame and her somewhat tainted vision of “beauty”. Wild Diamond opened the Official Competition at Cannes Film Festival this year.

Director Boris Lojkine takes us on a very visceral ride through the streets of Paris, depicting the harsh reality of a recent Guinean immigrant named Souleymane. Best Actor Award and Jury Prize Award at the « Un Certain Regard » section at Cannes Film Festival.
