La Forêt Universelle (The Universal Forest), is a VR experience directed by Cécile Palusinski and Elsa Mroziewicz
The Augmented Sound Fresco is an invitation to an immersive experience in the heart of a forest made up of tree species from all over the world (banyan, dragon tree, baobab, poplar, strangler fig, birch, etc.). Equipped with a smartphone or tablet, visitors can activate animated scenes of animals in augmented reality and poetic sound content through a web application.
The narrative journey invites the audience to encounter various endangered animal species. With the help of the application, each discovered animal comes to life through animation, and the viewer can hear haikus brought to life with voice and music. These poetic texts offer a unique listening experience, reflecting the geographic environments in which the animals live (natural sounds, music).
This immersive journey through the fresco, and the sense of wonder it creates through its animations, allows the public to enjoy an artistic and literary experience that aims to deepen their interest in the featured species. At the end of the journey, viewers can access additional educational content.
The fresco is printed on eco-responsible fabric or canvas (digital file sent for on-site printing) and can be presented in monumental format or in other scaled versions to adapt to your space.
Educational tools offered: educational kit, artistic kit, workshops, and lectures.
This project was supported by the Jan Michalski Foundation.
