Programme d’immersion professionnelle à Los Angeles pour des designers avec une pratique éco-responsable
En partenariat avec le Laboratoire des pratiques durables des Manufactures Nationales – Mobilier National & Sèvres, la Villa Albertine lance un appel à candidatures pour un programme d’immersion professionnelle de dix jours à Los Angeles et dans le désert, destiné à des designers français développant des projets autour de matériaux innovants, de pratiques durables et de technologie de pointe. Ce programme vise à connecter les créateurs français avec les écosystèmes professionnels de la Californie du Sud.
Programme
Le séjour, prévu du 11 au 22 novembre 2025 (trajets en avion inclus), comprendra :
- Un programme de rencontres avec des institutionnels, curateurs, architectes, designers, entrepreneurs, galeristes et acteurs universitaires, incluant la découverte de sites iconiques ;
- La visite de laboratoires de pointe spécialisés dans l’innovation matière, la production durable et les nouvelles technologies ;
- Une conférence au sein d’une institution culturelle présentant le travail et les recherches des participants ;
- Un événement de lancement rassemblant un public de professionnels prescripteurs ;
- Un accompagnement personnalisé afin de saisir au mieux les dynamiques créatives de la Côte Ouest.
Prise en charge
La Villa Albertine prendra en charge :
- Le voyage aller-retour France – Los Angeles
- L’hébergement, les repas et transports
Critères de sélection
Le programme est ouvert aux candidat.e.s répondant aux critères suivants :
- Designer de moins de 45 ans, exerçant son activité à titre professionnel depuis au moins 5 ans ;
- De nationalité française ou résidant/exerçant en France depuis au moins 5 ans;
- Développant une recherche appliquée ou un projet concret en lien avec des matériaux durables ou des innovations de production dans le champ du design ;
- Justifiant d’une bonne maîtrise de l’anglais.
Dossier de candidature
Les candidat.e.s doivent soumettre les éléments suivants via ce formulaire :
- Une lettre de motivation, expliquant l’intérêt de cette immersion au regard de leur parcours, leur démarche éco-responsable, et leurs objectifs aux États-Unis ;
- Une courte biographie (1500 caractères) ;
- Un portfolio de travaux ;
- Une vidéo de 2 minutes, présentant le candidat et témoignant de son aisance à communiquer en anglais ;
- Une copie d’un passeport valide (au moins 4 mois après la date de retour) ;
- Un justificatif de numéro SIRET.
Les candidatures seront évaluées par un jury franco-américain indépendant, composé de professionnels du design, de l’innovation et de la recherche, selon la qualité du projet, son potentiel de développement économique, sa pertinence pour la scène californienne, et la motivation du candidat.

- Lancement de l’appel à candidatures : 14 mai 2025
- Clôture des candidatures : 13 juin 2025 à 23h59 (heure française)
- Sélection par le jury : Fin juin 2025
- Annonce des lauréats : juillet 2025

Manufactures nationales – Sèvres & Mobilier national
Resulting from the merger between the Mobilier national and the Cité de la Céramique – Sèvres & Limoges, the National Manufactures were established on January 1, 2025, to promote the excellence of French craftsmanship and highlight the richness of both tangible and intangible heritage through more than 53 artistic crafts practiced within its manufactures and workshops.
Unique worldwide, this new public entity dedicated to decorative arts, crafts, and design combines heritage and creation to play a central role in implementing the national strategy in support of artistic crafts.
