Miami’s Season 2 Jury Experts

Villa Albertine is proud to present the four cultural experts who took part in the Miami jury for Season 2.
Beth Boone
Artistic and Executive Director, Miami Light Project
Beth Boone has headed Miami Light Project since 1998, developing critically acclaimed artistic programs that have made the organization a leading cultural institutions in South Florida. She previously served as Associate Director of Development for Florida Grand Opera, Deputy Director for the Department of Cultural Affairs at Miami Dade Community College, Wolfson Campus, co-founded an Off-Broadway theater company (New York Rep), and served for six years as Program Associate in the Arts & Culture Program of the AT&T Foundation.
Laura Quinlan
Program Director, Rhythm Foundation & Manager of the North Beach Bandshell
Laura Quinlan is a Program Director at Rhythm Foundation and Manager of the North Beach Bandshell. She had previously served as executive director, during which time Rhythm Foundation grew into a South Florida cultural anchor. Some signature programs she developed at Rhythm Foundation included Big Night in Little Haiti, TransAtlantic Festival and Axis of Love. She is proud to have been awarded as a chevalier des arts et des lettres.
Stephanie Seidel
Curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami)
Stephanie Seidel is Curator at ICA Miami where she has curated numerous exhibitions. Before joining ICA Miami in 2016, Seidel was interim director at the Neuer Aachener Kunstverein, Germany, as well as a curator for the commissioning project “25/25/25” for the Kunststiftung NRW (Arts Foundation of North Rhine-Westphalia), Düsseldorf. Seidel has edited and contributed to numerous monographs and regularly publishes in magazines including Flash Art and Art in America.
Alioune Sow
Associate Professor of French and African Studies, University of Florida
Alioune Sow holds a joint appointment in French and African Studies at the University of Florida. His research interests include democratic transition and cultural forms in francophone West Africa, focusing especially on memoirs, theater, and films in Mali, as well as migration and theater practices in France.
