Oui Design! Los Angeles Immersion Grantee, Textile and Material Designer

French designer trained at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Lucie Dubois has developed an independent practice over the past five years, working at the intersection of design, art, and craftsmanship. Guided by sobriety and durability, she explores materials both as textures and structures, developing innovative assemblies and forms. Specialised in the fields of fine craftsmanship and luxury, she collaborates notably with Studio MTX and Atelier Tortil on architectural, decorative, and interior design projects, where she explores textiles on a spatial large scale. From flooring to wall coverings, as well as lighting and furniture, she constructs poetic and cohesive spatial narratives, playing with material continuity and uses. Combining low-tech processes with digital design tools, her work generates hybrid and sensitive systems that question our ways of making and the sensitive relationship to materials within our living spaces.
