Visit from Bénédict Alliot of the Cité Internationale des Arts in New Orleans

From March 10–13, join Bénédicte Alliot, Director of the Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris), for discussions with Louisiana’s artistic institutions and a public information session on residency opportunities in France.

In addition to professional meetings with the Joan Mitchell Center, Rivers Institute for Contemporary Art & Thought, and A Studio in the Woods, Bénédicte Alliot will introduce the Cité internationale des Arts‘ residency programs to the creative community of South Louisiana on Tuesday, March 11, at the Joan Mitchell Center. A panel discussion featuring New Orleans-based artists who have participated in national and international residencies will offer valuable insights for those interested in these opportunities. The event aims to present an overview of the application process, highlight the benefits of international residencies, and guide artists in accessing relevant information and resources.

The event will take place from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Indigo Building of the Joan Mitchell Center. It is free and opened to the public upon registration here.

The Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris offers the biggest artistic residence in the world. Established in 1965, it provides a vibrant and supportive environment for international artists to live, work, and collaborate with over 300 live-in studios, accommodating visual artists, musicians, writers, and performers for residencies ranging from a few months to a year.
