Join Villa Albertine and the New York Philharmonic for a panel discussion and concert honoring the late visionary conductor and composer Pierre Boulez (1925-2016) in his centenary.
A panel featuring Esa-Pekka Salonen, recently appointed Principal Conductor of the Orchestre de Paris, and acclaimed pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard, who appear together with the New York Philharmonic this October, will kick off the evening.
The discussion will be moderated by Ara Guzelimian, former Dean of the Juilliard School and a close collaborator of Pierre Boulez for many years. The evening will conclude with a performance of Boulez’s Anthèmes / for Solo Violin (1991-92) by New York Philharmonic violinist Anna Rabinova.
Champagne will be served after the performance.
