Presented in partnership with the Menil Collection, Rienzi, and POST Houston, Villa Albertine’s annual outdoor film series Films on the Green returns to Houston from September 26 to October 11, 2025, with screenings in three of the city’s most iconic settings.

From the rooftop of POST Houston, to the serene, art-filled Menil Park and the blooming gardens of Rienzi, each venue will offer a distinct atmosphere to enjoy a selection of films celebrating the role of fashion in cinema.

This year’s lineup includes Thomas Cailley’s science fantasy adventure The Animal Kingdom (Le Règne animal, 2023), Jean Cocteau’s classic romantic feature Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la Bête, 1946), and François Ozon’s musical thriller 8 Women (8 femmes, 2002). 

This event is free and open to the public. 

All screenings are in French with English subtitles.

The Menil Collection

Rienzi 

Rienzi is the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston’s house for European decorative arts. Formerly the home of philanthropists Carroll Sterling Masterson and Harris Masterson III, Rienzi was designed by prominent Houston architect John Staub in 1952. Opened to the public in 1999, Rienzi houses a substantial collection of European decorative arts, paintings, furnishings, porcelain, and miniatures. Rienzi welcomes visitors for tours, family programs, lectures, music performances, and a variety of special events.

Texan-French Alliance for the Arts

The Texan-French Alliance for the Arts (TFAA) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization devoted to bridging cultures, communities, and art.
