Don’t miss the visit of legendary filmmaker Michel Ocelot and multiple screenings of his films this April at Princeton University and in New York City.
The creator of beloved French animated classics such as Kirikou and the Sorceress (1998), Azur and Asmar (2006), and Princes and Princesses (2000) is coming to Princeton University and New York City. For this special occasion, you will have the chance to discover or rediscover some of his most iconic works.
Michel Ocelot will be present at the closing ceremony of the Princeton French Film Festival on April 23rd. His César Award–winning film Dilili in Paris (2018) will be screened for the occasion.
On April 24, Michel Ocelot will introduce a special screening of Icarus, his episode from the 1989 animated series Ciné Si (“Cinema If”). Organized by Francophone Short Films Festival in Harlem, this event offers a great opportunity to discover the filmmaker’s early work.
To conclude this magical weekend, on April 25th, the Cutural Center of the Lycée Français de New York will host a screening of Dilili in Paris, followed by a Q&A with Michel Ocelot as part of their Francophone fair, En Français, Oui but Why?.
