Award-winning French pianist Alexandre Kantorow will be performing at Music Worcester on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 8:00PM.

Alexandre Kantorow is a rising young pianist who has performed with many conductors and orchestras, such as the Berlin Philharmoniker, Boston Symphony and Budapest Festival orchestras.
Born in France, Alexandre Kantorow studied music with famous classical pianists. In 2019, at the age of 22, he was the first French pianist to be awarded the Gold Medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition and the Grand Prix, awarded only three times before in the competition’s history.

In 2024, his career took a turning point as he was the recipient of the Gilmore Artist Award and performed “Jeux d’Eau” during the Paris Olympics opening ceremony. His recitals combining famous classic partitions and chamber music, has taken the stage of major concert halls in Europe, America and Asia during various tours.

Alexandre Kantorow received the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture in 2022 and two years later, in 2024, he was awarded the medal of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite by the French President, Emmanuel Macron.
