Co-created by Brooklyn-based theater artist Ivan Talijancic and Minnesota playwright Rachel Jendrzejewski, this one-of-a-kind experience unfolds in real time across downtown Minneapolis, taking inspiration from the works of renowned French conceptual artist Sophie Calle. Audience members, participating individually, will follow a fictional character through public locations, documenting the journey in a deeply intimate reflection on human connection and mortality.

TRACES (presented October 28 – November 11) is a related event for the Walker exhibition Sophie Calle: Overshare (October 26, 2024–January 26, 2025). Presented in association with the Playwrights’ Center, University of Minnesota, Hennepin County Libraries, Hewing Hotel, and Hotel Emery.

This performance is supported by Theatre & New Forms, a grant program of Albertine Foundation in partnership with Villa Albertine.
