City/Cité Dance & Architecture : Hamid Ben Mahi & Christophe Hutin

To develop I-3, Villa Albertine residents Christophe Hutin and Ben Mahi have developed a project mixing dance and video capture. Through different habitats or environments, the film tells how the inhabitants transform and improve the architecture. Its scenography based on the moving image shows the movement in architecture which is a social fact. More than ever, it must allow us, as individuals, to project ourselves in places of the common so that we can live together again. Hutin and Ben Mahi want to explore how contemporary architecture can transform Chicago’s west and south sides, and specifically how the people who inhabit these spaces might be its builders.
This event is hosted by Studio Gang and organized by Villa Albertine/Cultural Services of the French Embassy in Chicago.
