Films on the Green 2026 | New Orleans

The series opens on September 4 with Louis Malle’s noir classic Elevator to the Gallows, starring Jeanne Moreau and Maurice Ronet as two lovers whose plan to murder Florence’s husband quickly unravels over the course of one night in Paris. The film also features a celebrated score by legendary Miles Davis, whose 100th birthday is celebrated this year.

Films on the Green New Orleans closes on September 18 with the French-American, animated feature Arco, produced by Natalie Portman, about a 10-year-old boy from a peaceful, distant future who accidentally travels back to the year 2075 and discovers a world in peril. The film features voice-overs by Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Natalie Portman, and Mark Ruffalo.   

Free and open to the public (no ticket needed). 
Films begin at sunset. All films in French have English subtitles.
