WOPHA Congress: How Photography Teaches Us How to Live Now

Titled “How Photography Teaches Us to Live Now,” the congress presents the indelible contribution of women and non-binary photographers in contemporary art and explores how we can pioneer new approaches to foster photography education.

More than 35 esteemed art historians, renowned photographers, curators, and thought leaders will convene in South Florida for this multi-day event, celebrating the powerful role of women in photography including April Wiser, Founder of Foto Femme United (France), and photographers Adeline Rapon (Martinique) and Nathyfa Michel (French Guiana), whose works are showcased in an exhibition entitled “Visual Epistolary Diaries”. The show is co-curated by French curators Éline Gourgues, Co-director and Curator of La Station Culturelle and Vanessa Selk (TOUT-MONDE Art FOUNDATION), also in attendance.
