Festival Champlain: Celebrating French-language Cinema From Around the World

The Festival Champlain, Maine’s only French-language film festival, returns from October 15-18 at the Portland Museum of Art. Organized by the Alliance Française du Maine, the Festival Champlain celebrates international Francophone cinema, showcasing films from France, Canada, Tunisia, and Gabon.

Screenings include Afrotopia (2025, Gabon), La Venue de l’Avenir (2025, France), Promis Le Ciel (2025, Tunisia), Maria Chapdelaine (2021, Canada), Tous Toqués (2024, Canada), Ma Mère, Dieu et Sylvie Vartan (2025, France), Nos Belles-Soeurs (2024, Canada), and L’Étranger (2025, France).
