NYFF returns from September 25 – October 12 to celebrate a new slate of essential cinema from around the globe, once again, giving French filmmaking top billing.
Among the highlights of this 64th edition, the festival welcomes French-Senegalese filmmaker and former Villa Albertine resident Alain Gomis with the North American premiere of his latest feature Dao. A remarkable cinematic experience, Gomis’s epic illustrates the power and persistence of African diaspora traditions.
Also featured in the lineup are many Cannes favorites including, Ryûsuke Hamaguchi ‘s All of a Sudden (Best Actress for Virginie Efira and Tao Okamoto), Emmanuel Marre’s A Man of His Time (Best Screenplay Award), Valeska Grisebach’s The Dreamed Adventure (Jury Prize), Andrey Zvyagintsev’s Minotaur (Grand Prix), Arthur Harari’s new psychological fantasy film starring Léa Seydoux and Niels Schneider, The Unknown, Marine Atlan’s La Gradiva (Grand Prize at the 2026 Cannes Critics’ Week), as well as the Louis Clichy’s gorgeous hand-painted animation film, Iron boy (winner of the Special Jury Prize in the Un Certain Regard section).
The 64th edition of the New York Film Festival is presented by Film at Lincoln Center, with the support of Villa Albertine.
