From November 3-16, join the Consulate General of France in Louisiana and Villa Albertine, in partnership with the Alliance Française de La Nouvelle-Orléans, for two-week celebration bringing together authors, illustrators, and students from across the Francophone world.

Taking place in New Orleans, Lafayette, and Baton Rouge, the only youth literature festival held entirely in French returns from November 3 to 16! This vibrant celebration brings together authors, illustrators, and students from across the Francophone world to inspire young imaginations and share the joy of reading in French.

This year, My French Book Fest welcomes a dazzling lineup of guests from across the Francophone world. Beloved French-American author Susie Morgenstern, a true icon of children’s literature, joins celebrated French illustrator Ilya Green, whose dreamlike, colorful worlds captivate readers of all ages. From Canada, Madame Diva and Micah bring the joyful energy of French-Canadian storytelling and music, while Chantal Piché, a French-Manitoban illustrator now based in Quebec, shares her vibrant, expressive art. Familiar names Zachary Richard, Barry Ancelet, and Dana Kress round out the program, embodying Louisiana’s rich and enduring Francophone culture.

With interactive workshops, storytelling sessions, book signings, and a bilingual literature showcase, there’s something for everyone—from curious young readers to passionate educators and lifelong Francophiles.
