Villa Albertine San Francisco is excited to announce a special discussion between artist in residence Arthur Francietta and Hunter Saxony III. Join us as they explore the power of symbols, letters, and artistic lineage and the intersections of language, identity, and visual form. Together, the pair promises a fascinating dialogue reflecting on how design, typography, and cultural heritage shape our understanding of seeing and belonging.

This conversation will be followed by a live demonstration, and guests will have a chance to engage directly with the artists as they showcase skills in calligraphic writing and letterform building.

The reception will be accompanied by light refreshments.

About Hunter Saxony III:

Hunter Saxony III investigates love, loss, mortality, preservation, and self-discovery. His work is presented within a signature palette of red and black brush strokes paired with confident mark-making. With a minimalist approach to storytelling, viewers are invited to reconsider their understanding of written words and interpret a delicate yet sometimes visceral glimpse into the human condition.
His works have been collected by The Letterform Archive and the Richard Harrison Collection of Calligraphy & Lettering at the San Francisco Public Library, San Francisco, CA

In partnership with
