Communications Intern

Villa Albertine in New York City is seeking a part-time Communications Intern to collaborate on social media, writing, research, and press-related projects, from September 1 to December 15.


  • Create visual/written social media content for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram;
  • Write, proof-read, and copy-edit press releases and communication materials;
  • Translate documents from French to English;
  • Research for cultural and press-related projects; 
  • Website administration. 

Skills and Interests

  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok);
  • Experience managing social media presence for brands or organizations; 
  • Advanced writing, editing, research, and translation skills;
  • Knowledge and/or curiosity about French and American cultural and educational landscapes;
  • Knowledge of the French and American media landscapes;
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, iMovie, Muck Rack, Sprout Social, Mailchimp, and/or WordPress; 
  • Interest in photography and/or photo editing is a plus.

Candidates should be highly motivated self-starters who work well as a team and are organized, proactive, dedicated, and conscientious. 

Language Requirements

  • French (reading, speaking, writing): Intermediate/Advanced 
  • English (reading, speaking, writing): Bilingual/Native speaker 


This position is open to students enrolled full-time at an American universities. Please note that we cannot accept candidates who have already graduated from university; high school students; or students who require a visa to work in the United States. 

The Communications Intern will work 3 days/week for a total of 20 hours/week. A mutually convenient weekly schedule will be determined on the candidate's start date.

Please note that this is an unpaid position, but we are happy to work with the selected candidate to secure school credit.
