A talk on cinema and gastronomy celebrating The Taste of Things by Trần Anh Hùng.

France has selected the charming culinary romance “The Taste of Things” by French-Vietnamese filmmaker Trần Anh Hùng as its submission for Best International Feature Film in the 2024 Oscars. The film was written and directed with the guidance of 3 Michelin Star Chef, Pierre Gagnaire.

We were pleased to welcome Trần Anh Hùng and Pierre Gagnaire at Villa Albertine headquarters for an exceptional conversation in the presence of Laura Lindenfeld, Dean of the School of Communication and Journalism at Stony Brook University. The conversation was moderated by Rebecca Leffler, France Correspondent for Screen International.
