250 ans ensemble Workshop Tour

Bring your classroom into the next 250 years of Franco-American collaboration. Sign up for a transatlantic education incubator workshop taking place near you from September 20–30, 2026

With the support of the Institut Français in Paris, Villa Albertine and Alliance Française États-Unis, are proud to present a series of professional development workshops focused on youth engagement and transatlantic educational collaboration.

In celebration of 250 years of Franco-American friendship, educators across multiple U.S. cities are invited to participate in these free, in-person and online workshops designed to foster meaningful connections between learners and teachers on both sides of the Atlantic. This transatlantic incubator tour will bring together American and French classrooms, offering educators a hands-on opportunity to collaborate, innovate, and develop impactful student-centered projects. Participants will explore the following themes: (1) Franco-American friendship, (2) leadership, and (3) humanist values, while gaining practical tools and strategies to integrate these concepts into their teaching through collaborative, project-based learning initiatives.

Description and Objectives

Starting from concrete examples, participants will discover how to transform an educational idea into a meaningful and actionable classroom project. Through project-based learning and collaborative activities, educators will be invited to develop a project around one or more of the program’s central themes : (1) Franco-American friendship, (2) leadership, and (3) humanist values.

By the end of the workshop tour, participants will have the opportunity to further develop and implement their projects through existing MoU and partnerships with schools in France. In addition, K–12 French World Language and Dual Language Immersion teachers will be encouraged to submit their projects through Villa Albertine’s French as a World Language Program or French Dual Language Fund call for proposals to receive funding opportunities.
