Supporting undergraduate students with financial resources for studying abroad.
A partnership between the French Embassy in the US and the US State Department’s Gilman Scholarship Program, Gilman-France supports low-income undergraduate students pursuing academic programs or credit-bearing internships in France. Part of a wider effort to increase and diversify international student mobility between the US and France, Gilman for France provides students with a scholarship of up to $5,000 to support tuition and program fees, travel expenses, and other costs.
Applicants must be US citizens, undergraduate students in good academic standing, or Federal Pell Grant recipients participating in credit-bearing program in France for up to one academic year. Gilman-France recipients will have the opportunity to join the France Alumni Network after they complete their program.
