Develop global and professional skill sets, earn academic credits, and experience life in a different country as an intern abroad.
Villa Albertine, the French Institute for Culture and Education, offers two internship programs for US students to intern in France.
The City/Cité Cultural and Professional Exchange Program is designed to inspire a new generation of students committed to promoting innovation and change in urban planning. The six-week summer program offers a combination of collective experiences (seminars, conferences, workshops, and site visits) and individualized internships at preeminent Parisian architecture and urban design firms. Participants also collaborate with French students in their fields.
The Innovation Policy Internship Program is tailored to students who are motivated to spark innovation and change in the public sector. Students engage in an eight-week internship program in Toulouse, France. During this time they have the opportunity to design their own group project and work alongside prestigious institutions to solve real problems in the public sector.
Interns work in teams composed of both French and American students. Both programs pair professional experiences with orientation sessions, seminars, field trips and workshop-style group projects at prestigious French schools or private agencies.
