The French Fulbright Commission was created in 1948 and offers a great variety of programs to support study and research in the US and to host American scholars and students in France.
For US Citizens Going to France
Students who hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree are eligible to apply for the US Student Program. The Franco-American Fulbright Commission’s US Student Program offers grants to graduating college seniors, recent bachelor-degree recipients, master- and doctoral-degree candidates, young professionals, and artists to study in France.
The US Scholar Program is available to accomplished scholars and professionals with a minimum of five years of experience and offers grants to US academics, university and college administrators, professionals, and artists to lecture and/or pursue research in France.
The International Education Administrators Program is designed for US professionals in international education and senior officials in higher education and aims to foster connections with French society, culture, and higher education system.
The Fulbright-Tocqueville Chair hosts two US senior scholars each year to foster collaborative research between French and US institutions through a program of lectures and engagement with the students and scholars at the host institution.

Fulbright France offers a great variety of grants for French students, teachers, scholars and NGO leaders to study or conduct research in the United States. Here are some of the most notable:
Doctoral grants to support the writing of a PhD dissertation
Grants for degree-seeking students in the US, especially at the Masters level
Grants for junior (post-doctoral) and senior scholars engaged in research projects with an American institution in an extremely broad range of disciplines
The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program is open to French students and teachers.
The Fulbright Specialist programs is designed for short, 4 to 6 week stays designed to share expertise in an interactive form with French institutions
