Introduction to our Digital Resources Collection for French Teaching

Aimed at supporting French teachers across the United States, explore our curated collection of free, high-quality, and accessible educational resources.

These dedicated pages provide easy access to high-quality, accessible resources for the diverse publics we serve, including French teachers in Dual Language Immersion (DLI), Higher Education, Heritage Language programs, French as a World Language in K-12, and new Teaching Assistants in France (TAPIF).

With over 300 million speakers across 28 countries on five continents, studying French opens doors to diplomacy, business, research, arts, and cultural exchange. In the U.S., around 1.3 million students are enrolled in K-12 French programs, making French the second most-studied language in both K-12 and higher education.

French is also the fifth most common non-English language spoken in U.S. households, reflecting both historical Francophone communities and recent immigration from France, Canada, Haiti, and Francophone Africa.

Recognizing the importance of French language education in the U.S., this collection is designed to help French teachers and TAPIF assistants expand their programs, develop their skills, and prepare students for global opportunities.
