Professional Development for French teachers
RFI (Radio France Internationale) and TV5 Monde will offer United-States based French teachers the opportunity to familiarize themselves with a progressive and motivating approach to authentic audio and television/video documents, in order to integrate media into their classroom practices. To this end, teachers are introduced by RFI to the specific features of radio communication to the selection and analysis of sound extracts, then to the design of lesson sequences based on relevant teaching-learning objectives.
This program will travel to three cities:

All three courses will be moderated by Lidwien Van Dixhoorn (Head of the French language department at RFI), later joined in Chicago by Richard Bossuet (Head of communications, promotion and French teaching at TV5 Monde). The last course in Chicago will be part of TV5 Monde‘s “Learning and Teaching” offer, supported by the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, as well as promotional support from the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
