Villa Albertine, the French Institute for Culture and Education, is pleased to announce the sixth annual call for applications for Summer Schools in France program, formerly known as Community College in France (CCF).
This call is open to students that receive Pell Grants and faculty members at all MSIs (Minority Serving Institution) including community colleges, HBCUs, tribal colleges, hispanic serving institutions, predominantly Black Institutions, Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs), and Native American-Serving Nontribal Institutions (NASNTIs).
This program is dedicated to expanding and diversifying student mobility between the United States and France.
Since its launch, Summer Schools in France has provided short-term, intensive summer programs tailored for students enrolled in US community colleges. As of 2025, the program selected 67 participants for these five summer sessions.
To address disaparities, Villa Albertine offers an affordable and high-quality international experience through Summer Schools in France. The program integrates low-cost tuition and a work-study format with a careful selection process to ensure academic rigor and value. For participating French institutions, Summer Schools in France offers a unique opportunity to engage with a broad network of US colleges and strengthen their international partnerships.
2026 Applications
For the 2026 edition, three leading institutions were selected to host students, each presenting a summer school centered on sustainability and democracy:
- “Ocean & Energy Towards Sustainability” at EIGSI in La Rochelle from June 26 – July 10.
- “Paris Noir: Exploring Diversity and Equity Politics in France” at n+i Engineering Institutes in Paris from June 9 – to June 22.
- “Future Tech for Good Leaders: Empowering the Next Generation of Climate Innovators” at Ponts Business School in Paris and in Beauvais from July 12 – July 25.
