Held at Georgia State University this year, the 2023 Summer Institute for French Dual Language and Immersion Teachers had more than 40 teachers who attended training sessions in bilingual education.

Training Sessions for French Dual Language Teachers

42 teachers from 30 French immersion schools (including 29 public and charter schools) representing 15 States attended training sessions in bilingual education. The majority of sessions were in French, primarily targeting K-9 dual language teachers.

The objectives of the Summer Institute were to promote a sense of community in the French dual language network, share resources and pedagogical material, and best practices.

This was the second edition of the Summer Institute, the first one was organized in partnership with Utah State University in 2019.
