A reader’s choice award for Francophone youth literature

The Prix Albertine Jeunesse is a reader’s choice award for young readers aged 3 to 14 years old, who select their favorite book from a collection of Francophone youth literature available in English translation. The Prize seeks to reinforce the practice and love of reading in both French and English.

The theme of the 2024 prize selection is Together.

This year’s selection was made by a committee that includes the staff of Albertine Books in New York City, the AEFE network of North America, the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the U.S., and the French Embassy in Canada. The selected books are divided into four categories according to age groups: 3-5 years; 6-8 years and 9-11 years.
