White Hot Fête with La Dame Blanche at The Ringling

The Ringling welcome’s La Dame Blanche in Sarasota on her most recent U.S. tour.  This Cuban-Parisian graces Florida once again with her singular mix of hip hop, female empowerment, dancehall, and catchy beats.  Singer, flautist, and percussionist Yaite Ramos Rodriguez, aka La Dame Blanche, delivers a powerful and compelling sound that summons the spirits and get you on your feet. Born and raised in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, she was the daughter of Jesús “Aguaje” Ramos, the artistic director of the Buena Vista Social Club orchestra. This Cuban living in Paris creates blends between Latin and Urban, Cumbia and Hip-Hop, the strong and the sensual, and lights the stage up as she would the flame of a candle in a ritual.

This concert performance is part of the museum’s Art du Spectacle – francophone performance @ The Hat which runs through May 2024.
