Join French Cinémathèque on Monday, June 24 for a discussion about The Taste of Things directed by Tran Anh Hung, starring Juliette Binoche, Benoît Magimel, and Emmanuel Salinger.

The film was France’s submission for Best International Feature Film at the 2024 Academy Awards!

Eugenie, a gifted cook, has been working for over the last 20 years for Dodin, a fine gourmet. Growing fonder of one another, their bond turns into a romance and gives rise to delicious dishes that impress even the world’s most illustrious chefs. When Dodin is faced with Eugenie’s reluctance to commit to him, he decides to start cooking for her.

This event will be on Zoom and is free and open to the public. The event will be in English with some French vocabulary. Please make sure to watch the film before the discussion. A list of streaming channels that offer the film can be found here.
