The first French television series were produced in the 1960s by the public service network. “Teleclub” invites you to discover, or rediscover, some of them with context provided by actress Fanny Ardant to put the airing of each episode in its era.

Monte Cristo moves into a Parisian society that may be wealthy but is also filled with traitors: Danglars, the banker, Morcerf, the general and peer of the realm, Villefort, the crown prosecutor. Passing himself off as their friend, the former sailor collects the information necessary for his revenge through ruin, dishonor, and crime.

During a grand fashion show organized at the home of Countess Adrienne, the governor intends offering a haut-couture dress embellished with several hundred diamonds to the wife of the Sultan of Brunei. But Arsène Lupin is also particularly interested in the precious dress…
